The elders at the Beltway Church of Christ in Camp Springs, MD have appointed Jonathan Pinkerton to be the full time pulpit minister. The new minister formally served the Beltway congregation as an associate minister for 10 years. Pinkerton is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, and has served in various teaching and leadership roles in the church.
The following is an excerpt from a letter Pinkerton wrote to the congregation:
“An easy observation that can be made about the Beltway church of Christ is that we are a strong church, a strong family, and we are dedicated to the will and work of the Lord. I have seen time and time again remarkable examples of faith and brotherhood within this body. I have also seen expressions of love that exemplify the mind and body of Christ.”
Going forward, we will be offering several services to the community. We will be participating in the neighborhood watch, community policing, and other long standing programs. Additionally, we want to offer more practical assistance to our members and community. We want to offer job search assistance, interviewing skills classes, resume writing assistance as well as other practical skills. ”
Pinkerton and his wife Freda are excited about their new role.
